Aiming water is a control problem

A stepper motor knows exactly where it was told to go. Water pressure has other ideas — the hose bends, the head shifts under the jet, and the model in the software drifts away from the machine in the garden. nicesprinkler closes that gap by watching itself: a camera on the device records every frame together with the angles that were commanded, so the drift can be measured instead of guessed.

• simulates the throw over a 3D model of the garden before a drop falls
• aims the head from the browser
• streams the device camera beside the controls and records labelled frames
• measures its own flow rate with a bucket and a stop watch

Release

0.0.3 of 2026-08-15 brought the camera into the remote view, the flow calibration page and the labelled recording. See the release notes.
